We used XP so many years with no other problems, and when Vista appear all the things changed. The new programs are modified to fit on vista and that is a nasty thing, especially because the programs "eating" more of your computer memory..

    XP XP XP

Vista is wayyy to buggy right now.

They still haven't fully patched XP, you think the new one will be any better?

    Vista is a resource hog.

well if you had a desktop pc that was over heating you can fix easy cause you can easily install, fans, heatsinks, watercooling, ect. but as you have a laptop it is harder to do things like that as they are so compact

XP until Microsoft puts out Service Pack 1 & 2 equivalents for Vista. Or you can get a jump on the rest of us and start getting used to vista now..

I've only played around for Vista for a few hours, haven't installed it on any of my own computers.

It is obvious it is a Memory Hog, but other than that I do like some of the things that are added, but also dislike some things as well. I know if I get it I'll hate it for at least the first month, then I'd get used to it. The one thing that does scare me is the compatibility with everything out there, and how "random" it seems to be.

I heard bad things about Vista. So I'll stick with XP for now.. Hopefully then can fix some of the bugs they are having.
