I been thinking lately about creating an incentive site. Where I pay my members to sign up to things, read emails etc. I just want to sort it all out and make sure it's not too much hassle. I'd like some input on the best(and cheapest)way to go about doing this. Should I use Shiftcode? If I do, I definitely won't be using one of the crappy default shiftcode layouts. Way too unoriginal. Maybe I could find someone on here to design it for me? I wasn't planning on doing this until early next year which is soon. But I'd still like to know whats ahead and the best way to start this. I may do it pretty soon!
I think these type of sites are more hassle than they are worth and most of them are known as scams which will make it harder for you to make money. Many of them that are legit first of all and then become scams only become scams because their business plan fails.
Meh I'll think about it some more. I'd still like to find a GPT script just in case I decide to do it.
Oh, I believe I talked to him once about putting a review of his site on my site. I'll ask him. I'll check that out thanks :]
its almost impossible to start a good gpt site these days, cash incentivization is on its very last legs unless you are very experienced. Trying to get into any new network with cash incentivization is tough. I have a gpt script that i could lease to you for $10 a month, you can find more info by clicking on the link in my sig.
I just started a GPT site in Oct...here is a site I put together.... http://www.freewebs.com/gptoday/networks.htm If you have any questions, PM me.
Is it really on it's last leg? I was beginning to think that but I try to keep track on GPT sites' traffic stats. They're up and down but not dead. If I have a site up by jan. or Feb. Then when all the little school boys and girls get out for the summer the traffic should get alot better. I notice they peak around June. One thing about GPT sites is that lately alot of teens are even starting them. Then they aren't managed well and the site doesn't last long. (duh!)
What helped me was I was a member of many sites since April, then going from that to an owner helped me understand both sides of it. It's all how you present yourself, customer service is #1...you always have to keep your members informed... Alot of fly by night sites start up, thinking they are going to make millions by promising their members way too much to early...then they get stuck and end up disappearing... There are alot of sites out there that have offers they shouldn't be running, then they get taken down, lose affiliates and that makes it bad for us honest owners.
was just going through some ways to make money on the internet .. am from malaysia btw.. if your site gets up .. pls do let me know :0 muacks...
I've only had 2 leads get reversed and that was because the network decided they were going to change the offer to non incent...so in that case, it was nothing the member did. I always let my networks know that I am always checking for fraud...I have proxy detection on my site so those people don't even get through...I also have it set so only members from US/UK/Canada can join... I think if networks know you are doing your best and are an honest owner, they take that into consideration.
Thanks for sharing :] I'm curious to how many new sign ups you get a day/ or month with this site since opening in Oct.? I see you use shiftcode. I think I might use them but try to get a custom layout
GPT is fairly hard to run IMO. My site was at first a GPT site (www.macrobucks.com). Now, I run an incentives referrals site which generates AMAZING profits for me every month.
You mean instead of giving cash earnings to members, you just give away freebies after they complete an offer or a certain amount of offers, and refer a certain amount of friends? Like free ipods and such
