How often does Google re-spider websites?

Hello everyone! Great site here! I know I will learn a lot!

I submitted my website to Google, and it spidered my site, which was great! Then I made some changes to my description to make it more "search engine friendly"...so my question is "When can I expect Google to re-spider my site, and is there anything I can do to speed up the process?"

Spider activity is usually related to the amount of links to your site. More links would usually equal a fresher cache of your home page.

 

Is it in the sandbox? How old is the site? How long has in been indexed? Does it have back-links? Answer depends on the answer to questions like that.

I got a new site that has the index page updated almost daily. It would probably be in the sandbox, except there's only 741 results for the keywords!!! What the sites in the results are about is totally new to Google, so it visits a lot of the sites almost daily like there is no sandbox, but slow to crawling the whole site.

My site gets spidered every hour but the bots.
