Title & Statusbar Advertising

This is a total new way of advertising, Title & Status bar advertising. I'm an inventor and had this idea in my head for years and finally made it, soon after I realized I'm not a marketeer :) so I'm selling it.

    The URL is T&S Advertising

    You get:
    - A unique professional design, not a template.
    - A custom programmed website.
    - A professional written press release (can be found here: http://www.ts-advertising.com/?page=news&ID=1)
    - Just started with this and receiving 500,000 title & status bar views per week.
    - Big media companies are already interested in partnership.

Webmasters are keen on signing up and I already have very big websites signed up. The problem is getting advertisers, you should send out letters (not mails) to the big companies like Coca Cola etc. and you should send out the press release.

I already tested out how interested people are about this concept by sending out a press release to a dutch news website, www.webwereld.nl and it came on the frontpage, it was the most read article and I received 4000 pageviews on that day and another 2500 the next day from only one news site.

This is a totally unique idea and website.

    BIN: 250

What type of partnership are you talking about? And what's to stop a "big media company" from using your idea?

    Thank you for your question.

I got inquiries from media companies (f.e. NetDirect.nl, one of the major players here in the netherlands) to have a partnership wherein they supply me with a big amount of advertisers for a lower fee.

What stops them from copying is the complexity of the site, it was a difficult concept to create.

Same reason that, if you run an ecommerce site, you get tons of emails asking for free stuff because of (insert hardship here). It tugs at the heart strings and immediately makes people more interested.

The concept has been around for a while. What makes it a very bad one is there is no link in the status bar now is there? You can only use it for branding on a verry low scale.

It might be a little off-topic (sorry :( ), but I have to tell you my opinion about your "super" idea...

    - it's useless, because people don't look very often at the TITLE and STATUS diplayed in the browser.
    - even more, it's useless because the visitor can't visit COCA COLA's site directly after seeing COCA COLA in your title; he has to open a SearchEnginer or directly cocacola_com ... which is highly improbable
    - from the SEO point of view, this idea sucks! Who would like to get indexed by SE with the title of the page "Coca Cola" ? Let's say you have a website about cars and you get ranked on the first page on Google for the searching "second hand cars". Do you think people will click your site, if they see the title COCA COLA? or even worse... ENLARGE YOUR PENIS AT XYZ CLINIC ?

Anyway, this is only my opinion, and I suppose this is kinda true.... why would you sell such a "super" idea ?

Adolix, totally agree with you. Using the title tag for advertising will ruin ones position in search engine results. Nobody would do that - no point.

Regarding the staus bar, there have been various status bar text scripts around for a while, if I recall, some even had moving text. This could be placed in an external js file, so would not affect SEO. So, it could be a possibility.

As for someone offering $750, gasp. Someone has too much money on their hands (if it is a true bid).

Let me clear some things up.

    1) Title & Status bar advertising doesn't influate the search engines at all. The default title is spidered, not the T&S one.
    2) There have been some javascript scripts around for doing this but never an advertising company existed doing this.
    3) We build in a hotkey mode where the surfer can press X for example and goes to the advertisers site.
    4) People do look at the title & status bars.

I thought the BIN is a starting price, because I saw people setting BIN's and then other people increasing it with bids.
