    Hi

One of my client asked me to start an online campaign that will increase the sales only for one product. He is the producer of that product so he can offer a nice discounted price.

He want to sale a book, with 50% sale price. The book is a scientific one, in literature, so is not a "how to ..." book. Is a huge dictionary with more that 130.000 word in it.

Now I will explain at that was I thinking till now.

    1. Make a website only for that book, even if now the client has an online book store, with more than 300 titles.
    2. The website will include, About the book, about the authors, reviews, and buy the book.
    3. Optimize the website for SEO for the keywords that are searched on web. Also a link campaign (manual)
    4. I thought for that who want to buy the book at that discounted price, to write other 3 email address for persons that may be interested.
    5. Create a blog for the book (on blogspot.com), with the last news and events.

    Any other suggestions ?

I don't think that someone else will do that first. Imagine a book with 2240 pages. That company is the publishing house, also they own their own printing house.

It's a little harder that the PDF file will get out from the company. Also the book is printed on thin paper, where in some cases you can see from one side what is printed on the other one :)

I also thought to put online a sample chapter for example all the letters that begin with K later

    Any other suggestions ?

You know aka_eu I like all of your suggestions :)

I definitely think that you should promote this book as a standalone product, so the separate website is a good idea.

You can use all the normal methods to market the book but it is hard to give you anything concrete without know the subject matter? I would say you have a real advantage here because the book is educational. I would be targeting universities or private colleagues and asking them to JV or link to you. You'll get massive SEO benefits if any edu's honour you with a link.

    Hope this helps

The book is not in English, is in another foreign language and practical is a dictionary of that language (terms and words)

I also thought to contact as many educational institutions with our offer.

    Another idea that came out.

    6. To code some referral program for about 5% of the price.

Also I'm waiting for other suggestions.
