Either, put it in your bank and earn interest from it (not $200 a month but still something), Or you could invest it into a website or buy shares of a new business that has potential and risk loosing it all. Or you could buy a lawnmower and start mowing lawns for a living?

Cold hard fact is that $1000 is not much. I know you don't want to hear it but take that money and invest it in yourself. Education in the form of books would be your best return on investment.

Unless you have something concrete out there already that you want to use the $1000 to push. But you didn't specify.

It depends if you want something that is going to give you returns with no effort or time spent on it...or if you are willing to work hard as well?

    This doesn't require $1,000.

You could buy a vBulletin license and start a forum. Use the rest of the money to promote your site and buy links.
