I think adsense will do less then 2005 as more customer service oriented services like msn adcenter and YPN are public.

I think it depends as much on how many advertisers MSN/Yahoo can attract as anything else.

The other ad networks need to get a critical mass of advertisers before their content-sensitive ads work well. At the moment Yahoo just seem to be showing Vonage ads to everyone.

I think adwords/adsense will do more as there are still a great many companies slowly moving budgets across to online advertising from print and it will increase yet in 2006.

I think Adsense needs to face tough competition. I wish Google Adsense can withstand competition..

    Thanks,

I think the overall demand for online advertising will grow fast enough for all of them to increase revenues.

it will exceed last years revenues. Online advertising revenue is still on an upward climb. We have definetely not peaked..

I would suggest people to get google publishing credentials as well as try to get an account with Yahoo(YPN/overture), MSN Adcenter and Google (adsense/adwords). If your looking to change careers now is the perfect time...

I started using adsense in december 2005 so I think adsense revenue will raise in 2006 (I hope so :D )

But in general I think there will be some competition in de adsense market with Yahoo.

Thing is they have to watch the 2 sides :

    - the publishers want the most $$$ showing the ads
    - the advertisers want to spend as little $$ as possible per click.

    My 2 cents

I think many people forget that MSN and Yahoo! have been in the advertising business much longer then Google and already have the customer service infastructure a long with big corporate money backing them.

I can tell you its a increadible relief the customer service I get with YPN compared to Yahoo! Publisher Network. Even at the price of $$$ per day.

Also my yahoo! rep calls me sometimes once a week to let me know what they are doing for me. That is something that will sell me every time. I love to hear from attourneys, accountants that they are thinking about me and my business and how to make it grow.

And I am not talking about Adsense Advisor she has been helpful. She is just one person though =(

    Shoe,

I remember your post in YPN forum here saying that due to a sudden huge payout drop you were done with YPN. Not the case anymore?

How well Adsense will do for Google is speculative.

How well it will do for me is it can only get better! I'm currently on track to triple what I made last month! :D

I'm optimistic because my earnings are increasing every day. But even so, I'm worried because there's just too many noobs trying to "get rich off Adsense". Can Adsense survive such a gigantic glut in crappy publishers trying their damnest to screw everyone over by trying to get rich quick? I hope so.
