I've written a free guide to Proxy SEO, it's quite simple and keeps to the basics but Ive used this to get over 10,000 relevant search engine referrals to my proxies every month, and ranking no.1 for some of the most competitive terms (wont say which to avoid even more competition ) Anyways, here's what the guide covers: What is SEO Keyword Research On-Page SEO Building Backlinks You can find the guide here: SEO for Proxies Feedback welcome
Nice small guide you have put up on the side. I liked reading about the keyword research. thanks for sharing. SEO is the best tactic to get tons of traffic to your site.
Thanks for sharing but the title is a bit deceiving. That guideline would work for any kind of site and is not particular to proxies. But again, thanks for sharing.
I suppose you are right in a sense, just sometimes people need things to be slightly tweaked towards their situation in order to understand things better. For example the keywords that they might use to start ranking with Thanks for the comments
Thanks for the Guide. I think the most difficult part will be the keyword research part. Since Every webmaster will be chasing for the basket of keywords related to proxy.
Nice guide. I haven't seen very many SEO guides directed at proxies, if any. I haven't tried using SEO on my proxies yet. Wouldn't it eventually end up being a bad thing because filtering companies would block the proxy?
At least there's ones that should take too much work. One one that list in the thousands I was ranking top 30 for without any backlinks, just on page
I don't think that proxy sites need SEO at all, if they are good enough you should see a steady increase in traffic. On the other hand it seems they don't convert that well. We own a couple of proxy sites including www.proxy4china.com , but we are thinking about getting rid of some of them as they waste a lot of bandwidth while return is very low.
Maybe you dont think they need it, but it certainly doesn't hurt and I've had proxies getting thousands of visitors just from search engines that would have gone to my competitors. In my mind, if you are serious then you need it.
