I feel I'm king of MSN. What site I launch they come to MSN's 1st page within 7 days.

My two sites www.webpromotioner.com & www.seoindia.org are both in msn's 1 st page for keyword "link building service"

Check "free web directory" my site www.rkdirectory.com also in top 10 while it's only 20 days old !

Agian for "web promotion" keyword my 2 sites are on 2nd page

    Ohh I'm rally good.

    kidding...

msn is quite easy to get first page for - a lot of new sites go straight in on the first pages the slide down - so just ensure you maintain them listings ;)

Most of the traffic on all our sites comes from MSN and Yahoo, Google is slipping majorly in my book as far as visitor generation and retention is concerned.

Good job MSN... No disrespect to Google but the SERP's lately are ful of garbage and affiliate sites..

    wow definate newbie there....
kausikas others have said.. it's TOO easy to rank well in MSN. Try ranking well in Google and Yahoo as wlel and not TRYING to brag about something that most of us here have already done time and time over. Don't mean to pull you down from your throne, but it's not the greatest accomplishment in the world.
    Any congrats on your #1.

Also you may want someone who knows english to read through your websites as I've noticed plenty of boo-booz... (gramatical errors)... not very professional if you ask me. Just look at your signature for example..... (don't tell me you meant to do that?)

I consistently rank #1 for "female celebrities" in MSN ... total monthly traffic ... less than 100 visitors per month out of the thousands I get per day.

I've got several 2-3 month old sites ranking #1-2 on MSN that bringing in a few hundred visitors a day. I know it's not 1,000s/day but it's still making money until they get somewhere with Y!/G :)

I always read that msn takes about 10% precent of the cake and then I read on many forums posts from webmasters that msn gives them 100 visitors per month and yahoo and google 10 000 of visitiors. How is that possible.
I know that it variates from niche to niche but I suppose entertainment sites get more hits from msn than other niche.

That's a good point and a great question.

I think it mostly has to do with demographics, the site genre, and user preferences.

For the most part, people do tend to use Google more, especially if they're doing what I call "authoritative" or research searching. Hence, someone looking for information about psychology will likely choose Google.

People tend to use MSN, and more so Yahoo, when they're doing entertainment searches.

This is obviously not true for all people, users and Internet information seekers. It also plays in with other demographical data in my opinion. It seems younger users tend to use Yahoo! and the like, so this is where the site's genre comes into play IMO.
