I can access the internet, and 99.9% of websites. Although I cannot access www.oshq.com (My web host) or any of my pages that are hosted on the server. I can access them from another computer (My friends) but I can't on any computer in my house. I am not behind a router, just connected to the modem. Whenever I use a web proxy, (hidemyass.com) Or anything like that I can. Also if I add a proxy through the internet options, I can access them. I use to be able to access it (2 days ago) it all of a sudden stopeed working. I flushed my dns, tryed OpenDNS,a dn got my ISP to reset everything from their end. Any ideas? P.S: I am using IE 6. Does not work on Firefox 2, or Opera. Thanks, Chad
probably you are banned from the host. if you have whm panel access. go to firewall menu and remove your ip from the ban list.
No, oshq hosts my websites, I don't think he banned me. Ill ask him, and then ill try changing my ip address.
Disable any security software or adblocking software you're running, then restart your browser and reload the page.
Ive tried all of the above methods, still not working. Booted up in safe mode, still nothing. I checked my hosts file, and its clean. Any ideas?
Check to make sure you DNS is configured automatically rather than statically Try to get the site by it's IP. Try http://yoursiteip/~yourusername/ Then try getting to your site via an anonymizer and see if it works that way. I get to that domain fine. You're paying way too much for web hosting if that's your webhost. Or you're charging too much if you are a reseller. Or you shouldn't be in the hosting business if you are the host. :edit: Nevermind about the paying too much. I realized that's not $.99/5GB bandwidth, that's .99 per month, which is way too low to be trusted.
chandrax most probably the host has banned your ip. You can contact your isp and get your Ip changed. Also check your computer to see if there are any virus/trojans on your comp. It can also be a reason the the host is blocking your access.
I would require below information to check the issue: 1. tracert of 66.90.73.62 which is your domain's server ip address 2. It seems you are using Linux, so check with your webhost if your ip address is blocked by the firewall. If your host is using APF firewall, then in that case if you tried multiple login attempts to your cpanel or ftp with wrong password then your ip address would get automatically blocked, i hope i am not confusing you. 3. Try to access your site after turning off the firewall (if you have any).
