I checked my email and received an email from AGLOCO and this is what it said: "Dear John, We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO's operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at . We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going. AGLOCO Development Team" Now, I haven't bothered with AGLOCO for a while but for those who did, sucks to be you.
yes thats true They have so much big base and traffic but they are not able to get good money out of this so only option is looking for investors Regards Alex
Sad day for AGLOCO and all the skeptics can now enjoy that "told you so" moment I myself hoped this could have worked since the idea seems sound and is nothing different from a revenue sharing used amongst others on this very forum. Except that the revenue share would come from a tool bar not a website. So I am still failing to comprehend how could they not make money to even cover the costs? I mean apparently they hired some coders and other resources somewhere in china and as far as I recall that is the country with fairly low level of labor and business related costs. So give us the whole story pls AGLOCO.
I feel bad for the people who really promoted Agloco to the point of paying people to join under them prior to the lauch which was really hyped up.
I also got the email this morning of AGLOCO going into the internet dustbin. Ohhhh, all of the wasted hot air and sites made for referrals...lol
I have not heard anything like that. Infact couple of weeks before a mail of Agloco was indicating towards cash rewards fot its members. Sounds something fishy with this mail id.
Here's where it said it came from: from AGLOCO.com Service <emailservice@agloco.com> to *****, date Dec 10, 2007 5:02 AM subject AGLOCO Update Notice mailed-by agloco.com
So have the cheerleaders like John Chow commented on Agloco falling apart or are they quiet? Chow was one of the loudest shills of the company and was always talking about how he was going to get rich (and you too!) from Agloco.
