I have notice a average revenue dropping by 20 $ since the introduction of google's new ad format to avoid Accidental Clicks (http://adsense.blogspot.com/2007/11/accidental-clicks-fade-into-background.html)

I used to earn an average of 50 $ / per day .. but since nov end i am just able to manage 30$ / per day...

Please let me know you ..if someone else is facing the similar position.. can anything be done in this regard

    Regards

My CTR has dropped a bit but CPC is up, so I still get approximately the same revenue than before

I think most publishers has experienced a drop in their revenues accross the board since the implementation to reduce accidental clicks.

I completely disagree. Look at this :

    AdSense for Content top channels 61 8 13.11% $54.73 $3.34

1 site only 40 uniques. proxy site.

Same here. Roughly a month or two ago my AdSense earnings plummeted. I still get roughly the same amount of clicks however my CPC has decreased drastically.

I'm not sure of the cause and effect here. My earnings are down too, but I'm not sure the total cause. If I look at my eCPM since November 15, it is about the same as the 30 days prior. But the average number of clicks per day is about half what it was. But since Decemember 1, my earnings have taken about a 25% hit per day from the averages I've seen for years. My traffic is mostly US, and since Thanksgiving is a big selling time, I am not sure if that pushed up the first half of the period since November 15, and now I'm seeing the real effect of Google's change or not. Fortunately, I've just introduced some new networks and revenue streams and this isn't killing me... otherwise it would be a disaster if I relied solely on Adsense.

For the first 10 months of the year, Adsense was my top revenue stream for 8 of the 10 months. The other two months it was bettered by a large campaign from a direct advertiser. Last month Adsense fell to 4th from the top. This month they are tracking to fall to 5th largest revenue stream for me. So my advice is to diversify your revenue streams. If you rely on one network for your income and they make a change like this, you are totally hosed. Its funny because prior to November, my top two revenue streams had consistently been Google and Tribal Fusion. Even though both of these networks still get preferred placements on my site, they have dropped way down the chart on relevance. Tribal is now in a virtual tie for the lowest producing revenue stream, even though they get the top of rotation spot. The market is ever changing and you have to constantly be making adjustments and trying new things. Since I've diversified more, I've noticed fluctations from day to day in all the networks, and by being diversified the peaks and vallys overlap creating a more steady income stream for me. I'm getting into the Rubicon Project and hopefully that will really help with this.

I am having an issue that seems unrelated to the new format... Over the past couple weeks my impressions and clicks are about the same, but eCPM is about 1/4 of what it had been. My eCPM was nearly static (and good) for 2+ years, and now it is almost too low to keep using.

People are still clicking at the same rate, but Google is paying less. Could a PR drop translate to a lower Adsense eCPM?

Same here, the problem is that it seems like it keeps dropping. Today was the worst in 12 month or so.

I also saw a decrease. Certainly 30% adsense income gone down :(

So I am looking to add some CPM networks to keep up my incomes :p

    I agree.

Anyone who has theories why this could be better or whatever else.. It doesn't matter.
Accross the board people's revenue has dropped.

This is a very bad thing until proven otherwise.

Comparing this month with last month, my average CTR dropped 40%, average Ecpm dropped 22%. My Adsense ad clicks shown by click tracker has been increasing because the traffic has been increasing. But Google credit only about one half of clicks in the first 7 days of this month and credit less than one third of clicks in the last two days. Google used to credit more than three quarter of clicks shown by click tracker. Therefore, the Google CTR drop is not because the sites have less clicks due to introduction of google's new ad format to avoid Accidental Clicks. It is because Google deliberately credit less clicks than before.

I am seriously considering other alternatives. Any recommendation?
