Where did my navigation menu go?

Ok, look at my site www.goalierthanthou.com and on the right my nav bar is gone. It is gone on all files even though they all have the include command except the index and the navbar file is uploaded correctly.

    Help!

    Hi there

You picked the wrong size google ad format which is making the center body overlap the right column hiding your menu

    My two cents

you mean the 460 banner? I have always used it and this is the first time I've had a problem so I doubt it because even pages when I don't have any ads are like this.

Also, can you check your error log? I just tried fixing up the code and testing on my server and it doesn't work there either.

I've been over the validation before and I've never had this problem...didn't really make any changes to my site...

my error log shows file does not exist errors on the files 404.shtml which I don't understand, plus also a file does not exist error on favicon.ico, and so I'm still lost...

OHH....also I did change around one .htaccess file but I thought it was for a different folder...actually it was under the /www folder which could be a problem because all other domains are under that /www/goaliesite etc.

You'll have to unclude the navbar as I did.

    <!--#include file="navbar.html" -->
    Code (markup):

Ya messing with the htaccess file is a bad idea if you are not 100% sure of what to do there.

    I'd contact the host.

Colleen that was very nice of you to help with the coding

    :)

Yes, replace your include code in all pages with what I used, and did you upload that .htaccess code (or add to your existing .htaccess if there is one) to your root folder?

    Thanks, Sem-Advance. ;)

    yes thank you colleen

I uploaded it in my goalie sit edirectory...not the /www root folder no...

Also, if I have a website under the /www folder then other sites under /www/goalie (for example) how do I do a 301 redirect of the main site? Because obviously the .htaccess thing hurt my other sites.

Yes, that's what I meant, the root of the goalie site.

It shouldn't affect your other sites. How is it affecting them?

Talk to your web host to get it straight

It is safer that way, otherwise things could get worse.
