Which Proxy script uses the least server resources?

It seems that my proxy (http://www.roundthefilter.com) which I only registered yesterday has used 2.5gig since then!

I'm currently using Zelune as the script.

    Thanks.

Happy proxy is a cURL script that is coded by Pepsi Punk - he is a member here on DP. Its a good script, but he also has some bandwidth cache handlers that work for phpproxy. with his bandwidth mods I cut my usage in half. Although I still push at least 100GB a day. The question is how much money did you make for your 2.5G. cause if you made enough money to be satisfied then its all good.

    how did you monetize it?

I just visited it and it says your bandwidth is exceeded. I suggest that you set you max file size to 100K. If your going to go over your bandwidth limit in a few days from launch then you need a WAY better server. Proxies are HUGELY server intensive. I have an unmetered 100mbit port, but based on my numbers before I went to it I am using about 175GB per day! Thats 1.75 TB PER day. I made $1150 from proxies last month and am on track to do better this month. Friday I had my best day with $99 just friday. So good money can be made with proxies, but your gonna need a good server. Mine is a Core2Quad (4 cores each running at 2.4Ghz) wit 4GB Ram and a 100mbit unmetered port - total cost is $269 a month from WDservers.com (thewird here on dp) It can handel my 13,000+ UV each day and still performs well even at peak times. Although they do have many other options for startup. MAybe try a vps from them.

Set your max file size. If you switch to phpproxy it at the top of your index file. As for Zelune have no idea. Beyond that upgrade your server and get a bandwidth/cache handler mod. (about $50 if you use phpproxy - from pepsipunk). As for Zelune, well good luck.

If you are wondering how I monetize my sites. I run google adsense ads on my home pages (although I am about to ditch them) I run a half banner from canep on my proxified pages and I run adversal popunders on my proxified pages. Out of the $99 I made on friday only $10 was from Google, yes only $10 I made $20 from the canep cpm banner (and I wasnt even running it on all my sites, but most.) and I made the remaning $69 from adversal. Check out my ebook if you want to know more about how I do proxies. 56 pages and 8 months worth of learning. I am always learning and improving, and I will be releasing the first supplement to my book with new ideas, in the next couple of weeks . The link is in my sig.
