I store the images with the keywords, this-is-imagename.jpg. Sadly, submitting to webmaster central doesn't make image indexing fast, it took 3 months from the day I created the site until the images got indexed, this is because the spider only images about twice a year.

That website is making 25x as much as it was a week ago. ;)

How would getting image visitors help? Image visitors are usually looking for images. They usually click through to the image before the site loads in the frame then leave when they have the image.

I didn't really require a lot of work, just some general SEO (+keyword research) and a lot of waiting. :p

Just the usual - file names, page titles, page content, alt tags and backlinks. But really I find that ranking for images is pretty easy, just create lots of images so you rank for lots of things.

To get 10,000 uniques per day I have about 50 wallpaper sized images indexed.

Not many people target pictures, it's really an untapped resource. I've had some good experiences with Google Images too.

Very strange stats, your traffic went up by 10% due to images but your revenue went up by 25%

Normally it's the other way around for image search traffic, for a 25% rise in traffic you see a 10% rise in revenue because it doesn't convert as well as SERP traffic.

Edit: Did you add the frame breaker and right click script at the same time your revenue went up?

We are also seing a significant increase in visits from Google Images for one of our sites, but since it is a business site we don:t have adsense on it...And it didn:t correspond to any significant increase of leads neither...

I didn't fully explain myself before. I had only monetized 50% of my pages initially, but with the higher traffic I monetized 90% of the pages so my revenue would have increase some just from that.

Hmmmm........... I think it wud encourage us to go for image search results. But i have one question in my mind how many images you have on your site. Is this site only for images or you have a site with thousands of pages...........
