I have looked up and down the new specs of OSx and have not seen one thing that I would say is not already out there. All the latest releases to the MAC os has either been about searching or trying to make it easier to use as in the new "scenes" where you can arrange your desktop into four frames. Quite useless if you ask me.

Virtual desktops is a pretty useful feature which has been in most Linux distros for ages, and could be added to XP via a rather buggy powertoy.

You kinda ignored what I said, there. I have noticed rhat windows explorer crashes sometimes, to my great annoyance. It means I have to ctrl, alt + del that kill it, then restart it with the "run" command.

Sorry I missed your post. See that is what I call a bug. The other things about compatibility issues are not bugs. But this one is.

i had a few major problems with vista. it was terribly slow on a far superior computer than i had xp running on. every time you do ANYTHING it asks you if you're sure, which slows down anything you're trying to do and needless to say gets extremely aggrivating. my main problem with it is that it does nothing for me that xp didnt. all it does is makes my normal daily business tasks take twice as long. i wouldnt reinstall it if i were paid to.

Just turn off UAC and you won't get those useless confirmations.

I like some Vista stuff. XP doesn't let you quickly search your Start menu or some folder you're browsing. And there's a bunch more.

Things I do wish they'd kept are the ability to change icons of different filetypes and the old, much faster and more capable image viewer.

I'm using Vista 64bit os + 2 gig ram and the only real complaint that I have is the bluetooth support and I hate the way that you have to add a shared printer from an XP machine.

Wifi is buggy as hell, "forgets" that you saved a network previously and often fails to auto-connect.
