    I wish I could give you a good answer. It seems like it would be a good idea to me, especially if they're close to being words.

    There seems to be some resale value in CVCV.net

    Have you looked over at namepros.com? They're mainly domainers over there.

    Nice way to make money, btw. :)

    I was just wondering about this today - would be nice to know if there will be any re-sale value in these 1-2 years later.

    What makes you think that non english words have value???

    None of what you bought is a common word or a close misspell so the value would be 0

    Use a bit of thinking outside the box in your purchases... do a keyword search and then buy a URL that matches a keyword with a large amount of daily searches.....

    for example in the last two months I have bought these domains..

    www.1statv.com

    www.customquadparts.com

    www.buylcdhdtvs.com

    www.acute-anxiety.com

    www.thebeststressrelief.com

    They don't get a ton of type in traffic ,,,but they do get some they match search terms and as they age and I SEO them they will move up for their keyword terms.

    In addition they are fairly easy to remember,,,,

    :)

    No offense but you need to start your own thread, this thread was started by domainsurfer and is about LLLL.orgs and .nets

    I personally only see value in these if they are very easy to pronounce.

    I like your name Purb.net but that is the best one IMO. And the value will be more in 2 years, obviously, than it is now. Try to only get them if they are very easy to pronounce though, unless you are willing to take a bit of a gamble. They might be worth alot in a few years but only time will tell.

    Do you think people type that into the address bar?

    Are there any searches done for 8af ? I haven't found any tools that show there are.

    That would be the first thing I would look at when deciding...

    I personally don't care for .org's, I don't own any, besides my company's name. They're not really good for selling things off of.

    You shouldn't unless you are an Organization. Such as the Red Cross, United Way, etc.

    Selling from a .org is futile and lacks the educational understanding needed to ascertain how the major search engines work, along with policies and procedures of ICAAN and domain registars.

    Each of the TLD (Top Level Domains) was developed with a specific goal.

    .com = Commercial (This is the domain to sell from)

    .net = Network

    .org = Organization

    .edu = Educational

    .tv = Television

    .biz = Business (Spammers rendered this useless)

    .coop = Cooperatives

    .gov = Governments (he .gov TLD is limited to U.S. governmental entities and agencies (commonly Federal branch of government entities).

    .pro = Professional and is reserved for licensed doctors, attorneys, and certified public accountants only. A professional seeking to register a .pro domain must provide their registrar with the appropriate credentials.

    There are many more with or without restrictions.

    ICAAN should have made .orgs to provide proof of non-profit status but made an early error that probably was not foreseen.

    Later TLDs as some noted above came with requirements.

    If we bring in the business sensibility then using a .org when you are not one.... makes little to no sense.

    Also Google Yahoo Msn and the other search engines know that sites like FreeOnlineGames.org or BuyDiamonds.org are not a true Organization (You can also see the www.irs.gov website for what defines an Organization here in the US) and therefore commercially oriented websites that use a .org TLD, will have often have a filter applied, to prohibit these type of sites from reaching the top levels of SERPs for competitive keyword terms....

    There are a lot of people who "think" they can fool the Search Engines......

    But the reality is.... there are perhaps a few who can.

    Thinking that one can fool the search engines, usually leads to people running in place, and wondering why they are not finding success.

    Peace!

    ^^^great post!

    I never buy anything other than .com

    .net should really stay as being a networking domain, like for hosting companies, and .org should stick with the nonprofit no advetising model
