Every one here is talking about leaving comments on blogs. Can anyone give me some info on choosing the right kind of blog to comment on and how do we go about identifying it.
Well, you want a blog related to your site. Also, this is considering spamming, you shouldn't post in blogs JUST to get your backlink, that us spamming.
So what more you need ? It is the main "rules" of commenting : comment on related blogs, don't spam, choose the ones, which don't have no-follow function (use Search Status plugin in Mozilla Firefox to know if it is no-follow).
A good portion of DP users only post replies to get their post count up or to get their signature displayed more. You want to build backlinks that are related to your website.
Another strategy for comment marketing is to find the authority blogs in your niche and leave high quality comments. Even if they are using "nofollow" it doesn't matter, your goal is to impress the readers so they will click your link and check out what other wisdom they can find on your site. A tip for using this method is to put something other than your name, in the "name" box. For example which one is more enticing for someone reading an SEO blog?: Name: John or Name: SEO Specialist This tactic assumes you have a worthwhile site and not just some crap that nobody wants to visit anyways.
if you want a quality backlink, then you have to make friends with those blog owners on the same niche as yours. Post what you know on the blogs only and give more relevant comments that give you a credit back. just my 2 cents. Hope it help.
