    Has anybody begun playing around with Yahoo Widgets? It looks pretty cool from initially playing around with it. I'm going to play around with it for a day or two and see if I can't build a useful widget of my own. If they catch on, it could be a nice way to promote yourself. i.e. a custom rss feed reader for your site, a custom tool for your niche, etc.

    Yahoo Widgets is a gr8 work done by Yahoo. I also like to play around with it. It makes a Damn good desktop item shelf. I hope to see move ofthat kinda stuf from yahoo. Even users on my site are using them.

    hi jdv and yes yahoo is trying hard to overcome google. And as a matter of fact we have started a Fanclub for Yahoo, to help the yahoo users out.

    Yahoo widgets were not actually developed by Yahoo. Yahoo instead bought out The Konfabulator and branded it as their own. Konfabulator used to cost money to use after a certain period of time and then Yahoo made it free.

    I made one a long time ago (when it was Konfabulator 1.x)... still works with the 3.x version (now called Yahoo Widget Engine).

    Although it only works for Mac (Konfabulator used to only BE for Mac):
