Real or faked PR

Okay, I would never have even thought about faked PR if it wasn't for some of the posts in DP. I am being offered a PR7 recipricol for a PR 3/4 page and you lot have got under my skin.

Out of interest, I´d like to know the steps of verifying PR. Not that I care about that so much, I'd probably link anyway, BUT I don't want to be anybody's donkey YNWIM?

 

I came across this at DP awhile back...I haven't used it in quite awhile but I recall it being pretty accurate at spotting a couple fake PR test pages I threw at it.

Wow! Thanx GFC. The proposed page has a PR of zilch and the home page has a PR of 4. I know that we shoud not get hung up on PR but lying about it to try and exchange a homepage link sucks.

Because I am a leery Scot and this is a fascinating excersise, I'd really like to know if there is any way to confirm what I found on the tool mentioned by GFC.

 

Post the URL and it will take a couple of minutes to know if it is real or not

First of all mind your language when you are exchange ideas and information.

If you cant find a link on the left panel called Fake PageRank checker, why the hell do you come to forums for exchanging and sharing ideas and information..(or just to make fun of members name)

DP does not allow to post URL, so I had to give the link of the site.

even a blind will figure out the tools on the left panel.. are u better then them.

Your "fake PR" tool, gives me the title the url and the PR of a page. That's all. No fake PR tool here.

And i did saw it initially, that's why i asked what i asked.

 

First of all let me explain wht is Fake PR

It means 301 redirect and geting someelse PR to showup on your site.

put www.pr10.darkseoteam.com in that tool and see the result
OR
put www.promotion-world.com and check the results.
now that is know as fake PR.

results will be shown only if there is an actual Fake.. and not for every URL's you put.

Sites or pages that have a high toolbar PR but which in reality is fake. Made with very high or high PR link purchases, or other schemes.

 

OK. I got it now.

 

Well Fake PR is just a trick adopted by hackers and stupid webmasters to show higher value PR for their sites.
It requires redirection using certain scripts which in return will show the PR of the site used in the script to malfunction.

purchasing links from those site dont guarantee you any PR or even you may be thrown out of search engines.. if SE's find your cheating them.

So these tricks are only used by Hackers and cheaters.. though its not that tough to do.
