Double standards are perpetrated by those who would hold one religion in esteem above all others as you have above. I, however, have done nothing of the sort. I wouldn't defend the idiotic actions of anyone connected (or disconnected) to any religion.

Nice try, but I can see you coming a mile away, gtech.

The double standard comes from your consistent silence on gworld's perpetual attacks on Christianity, day in and day out, and when others bring up islam, you rush in with a sudden moral high ground.

And likewise, I can see you a mile away and know what you will defend and what you will let slide. Seems awful familiar ;)

I sit in silence while hundreds of people bash a lot of things on this forum. It doesn't mean I agree with everything posted. Provide proof or STFU.

Maybe if you could read and understand what some of those posters are really saying, you wouldn't have these misunderstandings.

It appears clear to me that you really don't understand what they are writing. Whether this is accidental or purposeful, I do not know.

Actually the double standard comes from those of you whining about a few bad men that call thesmelves muslims - and always making excuses for christians who do the same - "oh they weren't really christians they just claimed to be"

The simple facts are that BOTH religions have people who claim to be of that faith, and do horrible things - you (debunked especially) are all so one sided on that fact it's transparent!

Gworld is only COUNTERING your continual bashing of a single religion by saying - hey this religion does just as many bad things so why aren't you attacking it to?

we know why - DOUBLE STANDARDS ;)

No one should condone this sort of behavior. Just because some cultures encourage the enslavement of women doesnt mean that deep down in they don't know it's wrong.

Everyone, no matter what religion or culture, knows that violating others is wrong.

For the MSK in the first posting, lock him up; he has earned the right to be a slave in a prison camp the rest of his life. I hope Aussie jails aren't as nice as US ones.

But, but, their culture says it's OK, so it's not wrong for them.

Besides, brown women don't feel pain like white women do.

    Little willy;

I think people understand you perfectly. The problem is that you as a bigot, are still in the closet and like to think of yourself as some kind of intellectual.
Come out of the closet, admit that you are a bigot and life will be much simpler for you. ;)

Let's make a deal. You make a post that shows one problem in Christianity and Bush policies then I make a post that shows one problem in Islam and terrorist actions. We can continue from there and post in turn. ;)

Will you agree to this? It should not be any problem for you unless you believe that Christianity and Bush administration are free from all faults.

There was a horrible story in the UK paper today of a 3 year old girl who was raped by three or four men. I suppose this story could be repeated with differnt babies, countless times around the world, in every nation, every culture, every day.

The people who do such monstrous things in the UK or anywhere else are neither black or white, Christian or Muslim. They are beyond the pale.

Last thing I read was that they had not caught the guys but statistically speaking they are probably white Protestant or Catholic. By name alone.

If that is what they turn out to be, I would not judge every white Christian in the UK by this unbelievably despicable crime.
