Not as in the mail took 4 days, but as in how long from your signup date did it take for you to reach the minimum $100 mark? I've been with adsense for about a month now and I've only got about $2 or so. At this rate, it'll take me a few years to get payed . Of course, I do anticipate some growth in my site...
First month I made $95, so I had to wait another month to get the cheque. With $2/month, you can receive the first cheque in just 4.5 years, patience ..
Anyway, I suppose until I get visitors/numbers, I won't be hitting the big time anytime soon. Tips and suggestions are ALWAYS welcome... James
Nah, be patient, if you haven't done webmastering before joining adsense, expect to start low. The sum of my thirst three months earnings was ~$5. Only then it started taking off. Took 6 months to receive first payment. I made some mistakes, it can be done much faster.
The best tip in your position is to get some traffic.. Try to exchange links with similar sites, submit to free directories. Use digg, shoutwire and similar services. Join forums, put the link in your signature. ...
yep listen to michael moreover you should maybe read some articles or publish a blog to attract visitors soon you'll make it to the $2 per month
I'm trying to give visitors a reason to visit. I do get some visitors from search results, but google won't index my whole blog. My blog is really just a start, and I will build it up over time, as well as creating a couple more websites...
Have you submitted a sitemap? I dunno how effective it is vs not, because I did one right away. I think the hardest part is playing the waiting game for google to start indexing your content after you've written it.
I would love to enter a site map, but I don't think I can with a Blogger account. Do you know if it's possible yet? I have searched but found nothing.
I like Geniosity's avatar too. Reminds me of the lovely artwork left on my newly painted living room wall acouple of months ago. I got paid the first month, but then my site had been up for a couple of years and had plenty content pages and reasonable traffic before AS was popped in.
i dont know, try to login and if it doesnt work then open another account just for google sitemaps in any way you are allowed to use a blogger account and a google main account, that you are likely to need for other purposes also. ps: do you ping your blog?
When I say I can't with Blogger, it because you need to put the xml file in root dir of the site. I don't think I can do that with Blogger. PLEASE tell me I'm missing something. The other thing is, the site is fully indexed if I search for it using Google's Blog Search at blogsearch.google.com. And, about the pinging. New to that. Only site I've pinged is Technorati...
well in fact when there is nothing else than the blog you dont need to submit a sitemap. blogsearch does the crawling without requiring a sitemap anyway... there are ways to ping several sites at once, see ping-o-matic thats goof for blogs just starting out
