What's the longest anyone here has ever held onto a domain without developing it?

Impressive. Not a bad domain btw.

Sadly, I can't compete. I rarely hold onto anything very long. However, when my daughter was born I bought her first name (.net) (someone beat me to the .com). She's only 3 along with the domain.

I can't compete with 9 years either, the most I had was 3 years and I recently sold it off.

I've held onto a few domains for a couple of years without using them, although that's more because I don't have time to develop sites for all of them rather than a concious desire to actively hoard domains.

    jeepgarage.com - 4 years
    multimedia.ws - 3 years (almost)
My favorite, though not as old, is wiredstudios.com

Without developing? Hum... 3 or 4 years. Yes, my projects never end...
But can't compete with 9 years though! My oldest active domain has 6 years.
So Shawn, you had a project in mind, and decided not to go into, or you just liked the domain?

For sure I cant beat 9 years.

I have about 5~6 domains that are more than one year old but less than 2 years . Still am buying or hoarding.
