C'mon People: Stop the eBook Madness; they don't work as claimed.
I am tired of people trying to rip off other people's money or time through eBook.
I am serious, stop the eBook madness otherwise I am gonna have to jump into this eBook bandwagon as well and i will start making and selling my own eBooks. You all know I am not good at writing.

From an actual eBook writer, I'd disagree. I've found some of the ones I've purchased to be well worth it - what's $49.95 to pay for a method, a guide that could earn you $1000?

Sometimes it's worth paying for information from one of those gurus, even if you know the method yourself; they will often teach you how to refine it and maximize profitability. I'm not saying that all eBooks are good though; I have read a few crappy ones, to say the least :)

Most of what is sold on the internet is information so if everyone stopped selling ebooks/info think of how many hosting companies would go out of business.

Think of the drastic reduction in adsense ads.

It would have a knock on affect on everything.

im agreeding with the opening post and what info is in an ebook that isnt elswhere on the internet for free?

It could be worded differently it could be slightl different overall but in the end it still has pretty much the same info as you always read on here you can never get 100% unique material on the internet anymore whether its a template a success story or a method, someone else has already done it

I disagree. All the ebooks i bought from the forum and elsewhere have been COMPLETE CRAP. You can EASILY find the information elsewhere.

Well, a lot of the stuff sold on here is rehashed content, or PLR content freely available anywhere else. I only tend to buy unique eBooks written from someone (who has been succesful)'s perspective; heck, there are a thousand eBooks about blogging out there, and a lot of that information is freely available out there, but are you telling me that if Shoemoney released an eBook about earning with Adsense and sold it at $9.99, you wouldn't even be slightly interested in picking up a copy? :)

Some are good, some are bad... Just like pretty much everything else in life.

Just because some books at a book store are rubbish does that mean you will stop buying all books for the rest of your life?

Maybe a special 'Ebooks' Category under the Buy,Sell,Trade forum would be a good idea?

There is always supply when theres demand ;).

You've got to go kill the demand (aka. give the ebook readers something else to do) then you'll kill the "ebook madness"

    Hahaa. Here we go again.

You know I will sell you mine for price way less than yours ONLY $1. But you have to promise and swear that you will use it for sure.

Ask me why i want him to really use it? Because it contains affiliate urls, so if he use it and signs up I get commission regardless of if he makes money or not and most likely i will guarantee you he won't make a dime. :D

OK here is what I want to know-

Can you make good money selling ebooks online? That is the $10,000 question. Or maybe the $100,000 question?

It seems like "you won't sell any" until you give away 10+ review copies by what some people say.

I would say that if you have an eBook about something that people are somewhat familiar, it's profitable and you don't make outrageous claims like "Make $24,000" per day", then you could sell a lot.

Maybe I'll start an ebook library and give out cards. If you're overdue you will need to pay a fine via Paypal. Also, please don't bend the spine of the ebook because others will want to read it.
