Kiddy Porn Stumbled!! How do I report to authorities?

Discussion in 'Legal Issues' started by profanitytalker, Nov 28, 2007.

I was using the stumble button on my browser like I always do when I'm bored. My favorite sites are games/anime sites. Anyways, I actually stumbled on a kiddy porn site. How do I report this to authorities. Also can stumble be sued for this? I was highly offended because I thought that the stumble button was safe. I actually let my nephew use stumble to find websites that he might like. Also who in their right mind would stumble such a site? Should I also report the stumbler of the site?

Most major cities have departments now for this kind of crime. Call your regular police department and they will give you the number of who to contact specifically.

    1) Stumble can't hand review every site that gets stumbled, so forget about suing them.

    2) Yes, you should report him although the account is probably already closed and he's moved on to a new one.

Yes. I reported it already to the authorities. But stumble should review websites b4 it gets placed in their database.

Rep'd the poster. Class act. Most people would be lazy and let the sick owners get off making money.

Thanks for the rep but no need to rep me. These kind of things don't need rewarding.

I give him rep too! It is only with such an attitude that we can stamp out those trash. Not by inaction or waiting for others to do the work.

StumbleUpon relies on user moderation. You can simply report it as one of two things: wrong category or adult.

Can we clarify something? Was this anime or photos? I think kids in anime porn is legal. In the case of it being anime/hentai it would be reported as adult, not to the FBI...

Hentai (anime porn) that involves children in explicit sexual acts is considered illegal as child pornography under the grounds of the Protect Act of 2003. So, regardless, they can try to do something, probably hosted somewhere where they can't get at him though.

Can't believe that someone would stumble this though. Just sick regardless.
