Directory RSS Feeds

Whats the best way to add an rss feeds to my directory as fresh content under my sub category pages?

 

like this i use feed burner but there are many mods that can bring in feeds.

 

r u talking about bringing content in or sending your content out?

if you mean IN, take a look at what we've done. I've been happy with the results.

I thought others might have the same question.. So I'm pasting my PM answer here as well:

How we beef up light pages with RSS content:

1) we put a submission form up for people to register their RSS

2) we call their RSS files once per day and parse it into a database

3) each night we index the entire rss database into a verity search engine.

4) when people do searches, or we need content on a page, we call the verity search engine with a keyword or search criteria...

There you have it... It's done wonders... We catch all sorts of Google traffic... However, the traffic is not targeted - as you would guess... Wouldn't use it for anything magical, but if you need to beef up a light site it's a great way to augment.

Hello...

We have in our directories submit pages a place for RSS to be added
which shows up on the details pages and also a mod developed by leopard1
which offers News pertaining each catagory from different sources ...
