Most of you have seen my recent thread about me breaking the $10/day mark. It's been steady going and I've finally done it. I'm close to breaking the $15-$20 mark now. Anyway, I decided to start a new thread that would contain my writeup for how I achieved this and some tips to other people. If you want to check out my site, it's in my signature. Let's begin. #1 Biggest Money Maker is Traffic This can't be truer. The more traffic you get, the more the clicks will pile up. I average anywhere from 4,000 to 20,000 unique visitors per day depending on what the current hot video/game is. The one day I made $104.56 through AdSense, I had over 90,000 unique visitrs. That should put things in perspective. Without traffic, you won't make a lot of money, period. Fresh/New Visitors Tend to be More "Clicky" If someone has been to your site over 50+ times, chances are they know where all the ads are placed and will almost never click them anymore. Is that OK? Sure. As long as you have some impression revenue ads, you should still be OK. You need to be sure to drive a fair amount of new visitors, not just targetting old ones. The best mix is to keep both . Ad Size & Placement - Boxes Are Better Than Rectangles It's true. After over a year with AdSense, I must say that boxes get more clicks than banners (long rectangles). When you design your site, be sure to think about where you want to place ads. If you can, put a small/medium box smack dab in the middle of your homepage content like I did, that makes me the most revenue out of any of my other ad placements. Be sure to "hug" your content with your ads and integrate the colors. Don't let things jut out or look out of place. Your ads should flow with your site, it should be seamless. If you can fit two boxes into a place that would regularly hold a rectangle ad, do it, it'll help more. Have at Least One Other Ad Network Besides AdSense Along with AdSense for click revenue, I run CPX for impression revenue and Etology for direct text link revenue. Be sure to always have a fallback. AdSense makes the most money, but its nice to make $15 in one day with AdSense but also $4 from Etology and $5 from CPX, which makes your total net over $24+. Don't Be Afraid of Change Change is good! Keep your site fresh. If you feel moving an ad to another place would do better, try it for a week! Expirement and never stop. I usually move my ads after about 2-3 months to switch up how things are placed and grab the users attention. Conclusion Thanks for reading! i totally agree....remembered 1 year ago, i was adsense dumbass, $1 perday is like heaven for me those days... but now, i'm making close to $50 perday with lots of traffic and stuff ..and not to mention, don;t put all eggs in one basket, adsense alone will not earn u that much, u need 'other hot babies' to reach that level... that's when i knew the reality of multiple stream of income, not just doing the 'average marketing person' would do..it takes time and lots of patient but pays very well once u've got ur own formula ...congrats... the hard thing is the 'doing part'..once the snow starts rolling, just maintain the traffic and find other stuff to put on sites...congrats bro....
