Selling tutorial forum, Vbulletin own licence also

Where do i begin,

I purchased this site from Chris today. We agreed a number of terms on which i would buy the web site at a BIN price. Those terms were agreed by Chris. I made payment, We then moved onto MSN were the domain name was transferred over to me, along with the logins for the cpanel.

I told Chris i would be selling the web site on, i buy and sell web sites quite often here, so i told Chris strictly not to mention the sale as i do not want it indexed in google for the new buyer.

I returned a few hours later to find out that Chris had posted up a home page news post about how he was closseing down the web site and asking his members to join his new forum

I asked Chris what the hell he was doing, he replied saying that i had insulted him.
Chris bare in mind had not sent the VBulletin license as yet. I only had the domain name and files, as i had asked Chris to transfer the license to the new buyer in regards to VBulletins 12 months non transfer period. I asked for a refund, Chris said a refund would not be given.

I opened a paypal dispute regarding the case, Paypal said that they do not offer protection for none phyiscal goods, and closed the case. I called paypal to confirm this.

I do not have the license, and Chris is damanding that paypal email him to confirm that the vblicense must be sent to me. I called paypal and they said they cannot do that.

So basicly this guy is a lieing, stealing scammer.I am amazed that you have 57 feedback. I hope you enjoy the the money i sent. It was actually for my daughters christmas presents. Please be aware that every sales thread you make from now on i will bring this post up.

He has now added negative itrader for me!

He has also changed the password on the hosting account.
Just to sum up what Chris has achieved today.

Stolen $267
Locked me out of the hosting account (unable to download the sql)
He still holds the VBulletin license
Still has the message up on his forum that he is closing the site

Stay away from this scammer.

 

that is just sad that someone would do that...

 

Why would you do something like this? That's awful. I will not ever buy from you.

I just want to let people know. The money is important of course, but not the main issue.. the main issue is that i don`t buy and sell web sites to make myself rich, i do it as a part time job for my family, to pay bills, members that know me on here know that.

Its obvious that the seller is young and has no concept of life, and just wants to grabb at whatever he can (from previous posts) I am useually good with scammers i can spot them a mile off, but with his 57 itrader i thought what the hell.

 

*sigh*

It will be interesting to see if Chris replies to this, and some how redeems himself. But i doubt it the last pm i got was "HAHAH LOL Your breaking my heart, Dont give me that sh*t"

 

This web site seems totally bereft of moderators it is best to stick to Namepros if you need to confirm licenses or get any sort of justice.. I have done the report post a couple of times its a waste of time!

Here we go prop get an infraction now!!

 

I use namepros quite often, they do indeed have a fantastic mod and admin team, Ron keeps them in check. I fully support the mod team here, i do hope they will look into this and remove this scammers negative itrader from my account. I will contact Shawn and see if he can take a look.

 

Just an update on this. received a pm from a member here that has just offered and paid for the costs in return for the domain name.

You see this is the beauty of people.. for every sick, scamming loser.. there is someone that will stand up and do something about it, make changes and reverse the mess. This member has restored my confidence of digitalpoint and its members.

Now i just need to get this scammers negatives off my itrader.

Martyn, sorry about all the sh*t you've been through - amazing really how awful this guy's been about this whole deal.

If ever there was a time for SP Mods here, NOW is the bloody time, too many people like this will start ruining SP and the only reason I work here now rather than on DP is that there's an absolute TON of shady shannanigans going on over there which I never saw (neither do I hope to see) here.

I appreciate the warm comments from everyone, I just wanted to bring this to everyones attension. So he does not get away with this in the future with other respectable members.

Rich UK - I appreciateand thank you for the offer and your generoristy, I cannot accept money from you. A member has bought the domain from me and pretty much covered the costs of the loss i made which i cant still belive he did!

It was never really about the money, although it was important of course, i just hate scammers.. there are people on here that are in desperate situations who do this just to get by in life, im lucky as i also work 50 hours a week as my main job, and do this as some extra money for christmas and to pay the bills and mortage.

Again thank you so much, i really appreciate it, i have pretty much got most of Ellies gifts (my daughter) so she will have a fantastic christmas i hope!
