Broke out and made $90 in one day after a Digg wave, now steadily making $10+ per day. That was my goal like 5 months ago when I used to make like $1-2 per day! Just thought I'd share my achievements. If you want to know my site, just PM me.
sounds like you've been working pretty hard to get a "digg wave" (I assume that means front paged). congratz none the less.
For all the people wondering how I am making $10 a day... First off, it's through one single website. Not many, just one. I've been making websites since I was 16 (professionally). I'm 21 now. My last website, I sold for over $1,000 so I've had some great recent success. This latest website is a keeper. As far as any advice goes... First off I would advise people to stick with it. I was making $0.50-$2.00 for about 4-6 months (with spurts of $10+ sometimes). It was a long hard journey. I'd also suggest reading a lot. Ad placement is one of the most important things you can do. My highest pay ad block is right smack in the middle of my index page, no content page has reached the amount of money I've made with the center homepage ad. Another note, big square ads are a lot better and convert more clicks than "banner (486x60)" ads do, keep that in mind. When building your website, keep in mind your ad placements when you're designing, make them flow, the ads shouldn't jut out or look misplaced, it should be seemless. That way, it won't really seem like "ads", it'll just be part of the site, more people will click. That's it so far! I'll write something more later if you guys want.
