earnings unusually high today

just all of a sudden my page eCPM has shot up to a figure higher than any before. clicks came in and page impressions all made my earnings for today unuslly high.

i didn't change the ads, didn't change the content, just left it as it is for about 4 days already.

any iddea what might be cause?

 

just checked. the bulk of it came from the ad link unit at the top.

 

How high of change are you talking about? 200% with 2000 impressions or 500% with 100 impressions.

 

Do you know which pages have increased? Where does your traffic come from? What kind of rankings do your pages get in SERPs and have your SERP rankings increased recently? What kind of keywords/products/services do your ads sell? Give us more info...

 

um 150% with 1xxx impresisons.

 

it's a blog, so most likely it's only the first page. do't know where traffic comes from. i don't know about rankings but i doubt it changed at all. sorry couldn't be more specific.

 

I'm having the same problem. Normal earnings were around 2 dollars. Since a week it is now about 3-4 dollars and today I already earned 12 dollars!

There's slightly more pageviews than normal and about double CTR. Hope I didn't get clickbombed!

Traffic has increased tremendously after Chistmas. Must be all those people with new computers.

 

All those new computers logging in with crappy MSN/AOL pre-installed with MIE, of course.

Wish I had the same situation. My traffic seems to have dropped in the past couple of days???? Guess it all depends on what your site targets.

 

Trafic is up here too and it seems our rates are better too, CPC has increased too. I suppose Google's banning of many 'made for adsense sites' and its continuing watching is doing its business to fair people. Google isn't stupid to have adwords or adsense getting a reputation for delevering lousy results.

 

Most of the traffic and earnings dropped around Christmas and New Years. Now that the holidays are over my traffic/revenue is returning to what is was before Christmas eve.

Agreed ahearn. The traffic has really increased substantially the last few days on all my sites as well. This both goes for my norwegian and international sites.

 

Did you create a separate channel for digital point forums because the impressions are counted from Digital Point forums as well.
