Ok, so the following is who has posted artwork on this thread:

@xsabrina.chic - some nice ideas, but not the specs I was looking for. The BlogPost window you created is nice - if it can be made into headers, we can include it in the batch of contest entries for the cash

@Wasted - nice effects! I actually like the direction of the first one you posted the most. Can you please replace the cross thing, it looks similar to another symbol that has another meaning in this community Also, the shape looks a little like the street sign, can you make the blues that green from the street sign and maybe make the lines look like a street sign post?

@Noob designer - The edits worked for the subheadings, but the actual heading is still abbreviated (ie. "A.D. Blog Posts"). Please fix that to be in the contest pool.

@Orako - I like it! Can you make the bottom layer look like a street sign, and instead of the text that says "living on the edge ..." can you have that say "blog posts". Then the other three sub headings should be separate so that text can be inserted in between each heading easily (without a background)

@arabsquad - I like the artwork, but it does not fit with the site. Can you maybe incorporate more community and neighborhood related graphics, like the street sign that you see on my site, or a silouhette of some apartment buildings or something like that?

@weblazer - I would need all 4 componants to be separate elements so that text can be easily inserted as on my site. Please revise if possible so that there are 4 separate images.

Nice work everyone! In general I think the one that I like the most would be one that would draw off some of the elements of the other background image on the site. In this following link, there are some various pictures of the community also to get a visual feel for the community that the site will be representing.
