Even if it does not have a copyright if you do not own the dll, it is still illegal.
If you are owner of the dll , you must be having the source code for it.

Honestly, the author of this dll is an online game hacker.
Just want to know if you guys can unpack it, or edit it. ^_^

This is legal because your only cracking an illegal program. This is what they call "Investigation"

Reverse engineering is legal - as in see how a program works and then recreate the effects by writing your own program that does the same.

Taking an existing program and viewing it/ changing it without the copyright owners permission would be breach of copyright.

The fact that the program itself illegal doesnt make it legal (two wrongs dont make a right) but does naturally reduce the chances of being sued.

If you want what they call "investigation" done then you report the program to the police and allow them to do the investigation.

Technically there is nothing illegal about the program being cracked. I can create all the game hacks I want and there's nothing wrong with them. Using them however might be another issue entirely however.

    Hi,

The file is protected with a strong packer, editing it requires some serious reversing, I am sure you wont find anyone here who is up to your expectation, DP is not a hangout for hardcore reversers.

If you need more information about the protection used, pm me.

    Regards.

It's protected by WinLicense, based on Themida, which is quite a hardcore protector. However, a pirated version of WinLicense would've been used to protect the application, which itself has been entirely unpacked, so it's not like the protection is unbreakable. If only they'd used something as simple as UPX or ASProtect.
