Using Craigslist in a legitimate way

    I've been racking my brain on an effective way to use craigslist in a legitimate way.

    I know lots of people want to post multiple ads in lots of places but this is against their ToS - as is doing affiliate marketing.

    Is there anyway of getting good traffic from Craigslist without breaking their rules?

    put an item up for sale and make them click a link to your page so they could see more info on the item. don't trick them though. really do have a page containing info on the item. in turn they might click the other links on your page.

    ummmm, go to the dating section and have them click a link to your page containing info about yourself. even though you're not dating you could pretend that you are strictly for traffic gaining purposes. you can even be really, really evil and post as a hot chick. you know guys will flock to that link :D

    I have heard that craiglist is a great place where people do sell products placing ads .I wonder how they do it?

    Do craigslist ban adds without review?

    If so then you need to login with different IPs, differtent emails, different content and a different url sales page each time.

    Do they Ban just by having a url in the ad?

    eg could they set a filter to ban any ad that points to www.my-sales-page.com

    No and No.

    Here are some tips for you.

    1. SHORT ADS receive more clicks than LONG ADS.

    2. Ebay is a great word to use in the subject of your ads.

    3. Short ads get 80% more success to not be flagged. Use them.

    4. Do not use AutoPosters software or you'll be banned from CL.

    5. Google is very glad about Craigslist posts. Take advantage of this!


    Other tips for CL:

    - Catch the curiosity of the reader in your subject, not the ad.
    - Use images in your ads.
    - Write "numbers" in your subject. They work good!
    - Track your clicks in order to know which ad was the best.
    - Toronto is a great place to post. I tested it!
    - If you put your ads into an (Ms.) Excel file, you can control them with ease.
    - Prepare your ads and save them in order to re-use them the next time.
    - Use CL to send traffic to your AdSense ads. It's free traffic.
