Seriously, how S.O.L. would you be if Adsense were to ban you?

With many methods other than Adsense to make money with your website how S.O.L. would YOU really be if you got banned by Adsense? Would you not be able to pay the mortgage or are you like me and would just shrug it off and find another way to get paid?

I kinda chuckle a bit when I read Adsense related forums and people are so afraid of what Google might do if you attempt to do this, that or the other. They say things like "don't do that. Google is the almighty, all seeing demigod. they will find out and strike lightening upon thee". haha, they don't really say that, but it's something to that nature. My goodness. Some people are like children who don't want to be caught by the teacher. If the teacher catches you so what.

However, I do understand this mindstate if you are making a living off of Adsense. But come on, can we please stop treating Google like Christ.

Honestly, I can't wait for the day when I don't have to rely on Adsense and other affliate programs alike for making money online. personally, I'm striving to make money from private banner ad sales. That way I feel like I have more control. Until that day I am a slave to these progams, but I will never bow down.

If I got banned from AdSense, my revenue would drop about $30k/mo.

I'd go on a four day drinking binge, then I'd sober up and get back to work.

    Never give up.

Well, if I was in your shoes Will I would send Google flowers on all the holidays you celebrate and all the holidays you don't celebrate. And just to keep the relationship good I would send them chocolate every Tuesday.

    haha, just jerkin ya chain.

It would also be pretty bad if I got banned by AdSense, but at the same time you always need to plan for the worst. If you make decent money and rely on AdSense for certain "REAL-LIFE" payments, a backup plan is always necessary (or smart--one or the other).

I don't treat Google like God... I treat them the same way I'd treat a business partner. I wouldn't want to cheat, hurt, annoy, abuse, etc. my business partner if they are helping me make money, you know? A lot of the things I've seen around the forums take things WAY to far. AdSense shouldn't have to ban as many people as they do, but there are just so many low-lives out there. I started buying/creating websites not for money, but just cause I thought it was cool. Things evolved, and here I am today. I never once thought about click-fraud and such... it just didn't make sense why I'd want to. Ehh.. I think I got a little off track. Guess it might be a future blog post, lol :).

Rep added. I really like this thread topic.

love that reply FKA. Very well put.

@ all who read, I don't mean to come off like I'm saying their are only two types of Adsense users: The overly scared and the i just don't care. Of course their are level minded Adsensers as well. I am just curious to see where people are at with the their Adsensing. Rather than making the one hundreth "how much do you make a month with Adsense" thread, I figure this thread would be way funner cause you get to tell your story. And face it, we all like to talk about ourselves.

Yes, treating Adsense like a business partner is a good way to see things. Treating Google like the master with the whip is not. I know you've seen the threads before.

"Oh my god, Google will take my first born child because I clicked my ad once back in 1986"

haha, just making light of the situation I guess. By the way, thanks for the rep.

    Happy Thanksgiving Fools Day!

What if you get a site banned that pulls in a lot of traffic? To some with low traffic sites I can see how they wouldn't care, but to others managing a couple traffic sites, it's not worth to risk getting banned. I know problems happen, but you should always be on top of things and try to prevent it.

Form a corporation and have that corporation sign up for a new AdSense account.
