    If I remember correctly, the InterNIC fee for domains registered in 1998, was US$70.00 (for two years) and then different registrars charged variable amounts on top of that.

    So this domain costs less than the day it was first registered. Back in the 90's, I only registered domains that I really, really, really liked, and actually used ...
