Article marketing trick that tripled my url clicks

I recently opened a new website. To promote the site, I edited about 50 articles I had with Ezinearticles and included my new link. Over the next week or so, my url clicks tripled on those edited articles. Seems like this might be a quick and easy way to increase traffic rather quickly.

Has anyone else seen similar results?

Thats strange but the reason is probably because:

They all got approved together...putting you in front page
with bunch of articles and in the search function.

If it last and continue to get high clicks...then IDK.

Would be time consuming though because they have to
    recheck.

I might try though just to test it out :)

    Thanks.

You may have inadvertently optimized your articles for higher searched terms.

    Hey Jomark
I believe editing gets them to the front page again,,,,and also your new link may simply be a better pulling resource or keyword

Share an example of your change

    TEST, test, then test

Did those articles have the same theme as of your new site? Thats a good way to get exposure, but wouldn't it be a bit harmful for your site, as you got 50 direct links to a new site in such a short amount of time?

I had used articles-heaven.com for articles submission. This site allows 4 direct backlinks for different website in one article and definitly increased CTR.

What type of traffic are you pulling in from these articles? Did you write them all yourself? I have been thinking of submitting some articles there but do not want to waste a bunch of time if it will not bring good traffic.

All of the articles I changed related to article marketing and ebooks. The link I added is related to writing ebooks and affiliate programs. They were all approved over the following day or so.

I think I may try the same thing with some of the other large directories I submit to. I'll keep you posted.

thanks for the tip. I usually just leave my articles and urls alone and probably some of my links are dead now.

    will have to check them

    Thanks

    Hello Sejje

I have written and published over 120 articles onn ezinearticles, and others...I find they deliver quality targeted traffic to my squeeze pages.... an article is almost like pre-selling...providing valuable info without hype..when visitor clicks on your bio link,,,they already know a little about you thru your writing......I routinely expect 30+% signups on traffic from articles.......I write and submit myself...my only regret is that I do not have 1200 articles already
