help with odp submission

Hi Guys

Is there anyone who can help me with my submissions to odp?

im not asking for any preferental treatment ,i would just like someone who knows, the best method of having sites accepted.
ive heared that a lot of sections have no editors does that mean those wanting to submit to thosesections will have no chance of being accepted
my 1st site is about 3 years old.and still not listed.

im scared to re submit as per t&c

Hi, Harko.

It may help a lot if you submit your site suggestion with an ODP compliant Title & Description. To do that read our Guidelines here:

And also look at the descriptions of current listings in the category you're suggesting the site to.

Thousands of smaller categories have no named editors in them, but there are editors in the higher categories that edit in all categories beneath them, so there are always editors who can and do edit there. There are also 200-300 editors who can edit everything in the Directory, and they float around like bees on flowers.

If you haven't submitted your site suggestion in 2007, please go ahead and resubmit it one time to the most specific category you can find. If you have, then just be patient and find other ways to promote your site, it can take from one day to a couple of years to get reviewed, we get many tens of thousands of site suggestions.

Will add some short tips:

IF (you have a finished web site, without broken links, still not listed in ODP) THEN

READ the ODP Guidelines; and see if whether your site is appropriate for submission to the ODP

LOOK to make sure it isn't already listed here. (If it is and you think it's in the wrong place use the "Update Listing" link on the page it is on to suggest a change.)

FIND the most appropriate category for your site;

WRITE Your Site Title AND your site description; //Please don't mention it's the best, we know that.

SUBMIT your site to this chosen category
