    I did use ME for a while but sooner or later I had to switch to Win 2000 - Nothing beats Win2K regarding stability in the windows world IMO

Inside sources have told me that the motive behind 9/11 was actually the poor performance of Windows ME, which was clearly a sign that its creators (the Americans) were God-less beasts. The operating system is still in use by the U.S. military as a torture device at Guantanamo Bay.

    WinME cannot and should not even be compared to OS's of today. It was a piece of crap then and is a piece of crap now. I would only install it on a computer I was about to torch and burn to the ground. :p

    I used Windows Me for over two years, until software support started to cease and Windows XP appeared. It's just Windows 98, with System Restore and Windows Movie Maker.

    Just to give you an idea of how much ME sucks... I did a tune up on a customer computer recently. Got the machine running great, all maware gone, all viruses off, optimized, upgraded ram, basically in tip top condition. Then I ran windoze update... It killed the internet.

    The machine can ping out, but I cannot go anywhere.. Best I can figure is some program on the computer had hooks into some library and after the update when windoze update updated the libraries things broke...

    I'd love to know how to fix this.. So far I just renamed the Windoze directory and re-installed.. SUCKS!!!
