    I am trying to learn how to code a WP template.

    Can you please advise where I should start looking for resources to help me with this.

    I am new to PHP so I guess I will need PHP tutorials too.

    Maybe you can start here. It shows step by step on how to get started coding wp theme. I just finished my first ever theme and now it resides in blog. Very useful resource.
