Hi Guys, I am trying to learn how to code a WP template. Can you please advise where I should start looking for resources to help me with this. I am new to PHP so I guess I will need PHP tutorials too.

just download a theme see the source and try to understand , everything is on there site wiki www.wordpress.org all what you need is there . read the documentation ...
Maybe you can start here. It shows step by step on how to get started coding wp theme. I just finished my first ever theme and now it resides in blog. Very useful resource.
