Hi, Thanks in advance for your advice! Question 1: I have a guy trying to sell me a link on this page: http://countryroadmap.org/contact/index.html There are no backlinks to this page, no content and the home page has a PR of 2. How did he fake this?? He denies faking the PR, What do I say to prove to him it is faked?? Question 2: Are PR verification tools like this reliable? http://www.checkpagerank.net/index.php Are there any better tools that you know of and could share? Specifically tools which verify the inner pages, not just the home page. I have heard that Google does not update the 'toolbar' page rank very often, but behind the scenes, they are adjusting PR. How do these tools verify? By checking the published page rank, or by sending a query to google's PR? Question 3: What do you think of this as a potential link page? Is its PR fake as well? http://www.media-converters.net/support.htm HINT: The guy tells me he practices 3 way linking methods.
Yes it's redirected to www.getnetwise.org/contact/ I'm a little biased, but the Link Page Report Card is pretty good
Not bad, needs some tweaking though nearly all the values are wrong except the PR/Valid however overall i like it. Edit: Have a look at his Cached Snapshot, doesn't look anything like the current page does it.
That page has not even cached by google. But is it possible to have PR page even it's not cached by google. Thanks
Can you please explain? Surely Google knows the difference, and would not take any notice of what I say? Otherwise it would be possible to sabotage your competitors sites? Thanks
Be aware that they do monitor link sales threads and look into them. Its like setting of a little alarm - they will then look into it and see if the site is indeed in violation. This is the reason people do not post the url for link sales in threads.
I dont think so.. If you are referring to the site itself, it has to be cached, indexed and has some backlinks to gain PR
