    Hi Guys,

    For those that are interested, the DR strength scores on Directory Rate have been updated for November.

    www.directoryrate.com

    With a revised and more scalable algo, we are now aiming to update the DR strength scores on a monthly basis.

    Many thanks for everybody's support so far with this project.

    Its a directory list that gives a directory strength score to each directory listed, hopefully to give some guidance to users on what maybe a good directory to submit a site to.

    I love the site and the algo too. Perhaps you could program a cron to auto update DR score every few weeks?

    edit - any reason why my zorg links dropped so much into the 5's when only last week i was in the 6's?

    I hope you dont rely on PR too much. I see many directories like alive, dump etc dropped, then those like bqtm, dirjournal, dream2bid, rakcha etc all gained after they also gained in PR

    pr/ps or similar is not a system that is advisable to use for reference purposes

    Just wanted to let you know that I received an error when opening your site:
    You may have to extend the maximum execution time.

    Edit: I see this error multiple times when browsing directory lists.

    Don't want to reveal secrets of your algo, but mikey, i am pretty sure PR does not matter. my pr4 is at DR 7.4 :)

    Yeah, I see lots of changes on the list. DirJournal seems to be king because of its PR7.

    My directory also got updated to 5.6, it was 4.2 I think.

    Why are some directories that are under a Google penalty in the list?

    You can't get away from the fact people what to submit to directories to improve there position in Google.

    What about traffic ?

    I am sure some people got traffic from my directory since there is good amount people coming from SE lately. With previous directories I had I never experienced so much traffic from SE like with this one. I guess we learn...
    And it seems this is only the beginning.
    I also get traffic to my websites from time to time from directories I submitted my websites and it is kind of cool to see visitors from directories I submitted 2 or 3 years ago :D

    Well then that stinks IMO.

    My Zorg Links is #35 in the bid directory list. Does that mean those PR4 bid directories with no content, no nice design (they didnt hire serg:p) and only a handful of backlinks are better than mine?

    Why rely on google anyway?

    Im rank 1 in yahoo for "bidding directory" and "bidding web directory" and would be in google if it wasnt for the silly penalty.

    Wayner, i advise you to remove PR from your system. Use yahoo backlinks instead - its more advisable as they update in real time, unlike PR which is 4 times a year, if that.

    nice work wayner i was wondering how long you update dr.IMO you have a nice algo that obviously is not heavy value either backlinks number either pr.
    you are saying that all pr4 biding directories that is above you is having no content, no nice design and only a handful of backlinks ?or some of them?please if so specify wich you mean...

    I can say that the majority of those above me havent invested as much time/money into their directory to get it where it is now, compared with mine.

    The only thing they have better than mine, IMO is PR. That shouldnt rank them higher.

    This is great ! Cyber Web link is number 4 for bidding directory and is in to 50 directory list with DR score of 7.4 :)
