can DP be accessed through proxy

    i live in a hostel and the hostel ISP has blocked digitalpoint.......:mad:

    i can access DP through proxy from softwares like your-freedom and JAP...

    so i wanna ask can i access DP with such softwares or is it illegal(getting ban i mean)....

    right now also posting from a cyber cafe:(

    I don't see why its a problem to come in DP with a proxy, just a different static IP

    I think DP will ban you if you use Proxy..... if its possible then people could easily create multiple accounts and SPAM....

    IP is not the only tool which moderators use to find a duplicate account.
    (exactly same line posted by a moderator :p)

    I usually use Proxy to access DP or any other forum, and I never got any warning or ban.

    Uhh I get on different computers at work and at home and at parents house sometimes. :p
    Thats 3 different IP's (proxy would be the same)
    So your saying DP will ban me for that? ehh.

    DP can be accessed by proxy. But you cannot do these with a web based proxy:

    Post a reply
    Register

    These things are not the one's you should avoid yourself, but these are those which you cannot do. Why? Because vBulletin doesn't allow POST requests from any other domain exceopt the one on which its installed unless its done by Administrators.

    So, no donut for you :)

    But there's possibility that you can browse using an IP proxy.

    yes you can, I have put phproxy on my server and succefully logged in and posted with it.:)




    Sir if you have a server (paid hosting) set up a private folder for yourself and put phproxy in it and you can surf DP very fast and login and post...

    I've used web proxy (php/cgi), and even softwares like JAP to login and post in vBulletin powered forums. All of them works well...

    Few shared hosting even don't allow private proxy (personal use). :\

    Maybe you tried it with old version of php proxy (web), that doesn't had the function of "login", etc.

    jap and freedom work...now me accessing DP through them only......any mod here please make a note that against my id several ips may be there... :(
