The "John Chow Effect" on AdToll

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by ruby, Nov 13, 2007.

Last week we had a review published on JohnChow.com for AdToll.com.

A few people indicated they would love to hear about the "effect" of the review so in response I have just published a whole article on it which I am sure many of you will find a good read - http://blog.adtoll.com/2007/11/13/the-john-chow-effect-on-adtoll/

If not, let me know! ;)

Absolutely... an increase in customers and an increase in sales.

Analytics obviously also shows a good increase.

These figures however we would prefer to remain confidential which is why they are not included in the blog entry.

You get what you pay for really and to be honest after this I feel the price is very affordable and cost effective.

ruby: Can you say that you got at least your $400 back? Traffic is nice but if it doesn't convert to real money, it's not very good.

Btw, I'm testing the "John Cow Effect" today for $200. I expect more visitors tonight.

After that, I may check the other John Effect depending on the result.

I saw that! I am an e-mail subscriber of JohnCow.com so saw it this morning, I even visited your site and had a look at your advertising opportunities. Maybe we can strike a deal?

Please let me know how you go as we have been considering a review at JohnCow.

With regards to your question... it's not as simple as that. Not everything is about revenue.... it is long term I agree but this review for us was more of a "buzz" creator leading to customer acquisition. I did track it over 48 hours and we were very happy with the Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) from the review.

Thank you... I wish more people would DIGG our articles as they are good and they get read.

That's the problem with sites like DIGG, they are corrupt. People don't DIGG unless it's their own article or there getting paid to or its an exchange.

How many hits did you get from Chow's site so far, Ruby, and how many have you gotten in the past couple of days?

Hope it works out for you.
