Review my new blog design

Well finally I decided to start my webmaster blog and got a new design for my wp blog

Not to heavy on graphics and have kept it minimalistic.

Your views would be appreciated

I just took a look and gave you your first comment. I like the design and lack of clutter. I would ditch the PPP badges but that's just me.

 

great layout but i dont like the badges too.. i think that you should remove 1 or 2 of them,or put them in another place in the page

Well i specifically had a spot made for those badges as I thought that it would be the best spot for selling ad space, not sure if i can fit them somewhere else

Yeah I like it, very easy on the eye but I would agree on the ads they stick out a bit, but other than that its a nice layout.

I like the design, it's very innovative...
but it needs more content, but it's new, you'll work on that.

 

Layout: good and different - 7 /10
Color Combination: Ok - 6 /10
Contents: I know it is a new site and hence not that much informative but it needs to be.
Loading Time: Fast 7/10

Likes:
a) The logo and the top banner

Suggestions:
a) The text color for menu can change. Now it is very light and it does not match the menu bg
b) Try to reduce the size of images for eg: Search, very big and doesn't look good!
c) You can add up a bg for categories, subscribe etc; similar to the one in the ads.

Overall : Good, try to built upon it. All the best!

Really nice design, I like it! Rajesh pretty much summed up my thoughts about your site. The only piece of advice I have to offer is to rework the magnifying glass graphic so that it's edges are smoother. At the moment I'm seeing jagged edges (as shown below)...



I'm not meaning to be over-observant but to me having clean and crisp images in a web 2.0 design is as important as any other feature.
