    Amazing New Technological Changes in Google



    example:
    finished a fan page for Motown Artist Mary Wells (My Guy) and added a link from another site on November 5 about 6pm

    it was spidered by Google in a few hours and added to SERPs and cached in One Day - all ready in on the first and second pages for keywords and got first SE traffic two hours ago :eek:

    How times have changed!!

    I had a similar experience yesterday. I attributed the fast response to the strength of the links I had pointing to the page.

    Good for you but.......

    It is really not that amazing! You used a subdomain and I have seen new subdomains added before that rank well right off the get go.

    Try the same without a sub (register a new name) and see if you can have similar results.

    Yeah a new domain will take a little longer, but if you have good links coming it won't take too long. I got a new site cached in about 7 days.

    I got a hottub site of mine, with 300 pages, indexed and cached in about a week. Gradually it is climbing up under the various keyword pages...

    Yes, mine was an existing 1 page site with a PR 5, with little to no backlinks to speak of. Soon as I added those extra pages with new content, google eat em up! :D

    I'm wasn't referring to the indexing, that's the easy part! If you point a good enough link to the site and have decent link structure indexing should not be a problem. I have had some indexed within a day of release.

    What I was referring to was the SERPS. Get a new domain, and try to rank well right off the bat, for a KW like above 1.1 million results returned. It is very doubtful this will happen with a new domain.

    You got spidered and indexed straight away..thats good.

    unfortunately so did my site originally.....nearly 1000 pages in a couple of days...and ranked highly (top#5) everywhere...i was erm...happy
    THEN..it slowly disappeared for 4 months down to a few pages only.....now its back
    So good luck..i hope you dont fade away for a while.

    I got a couple of sites listed in Google in less than 10 days... you need link(s) from "good" and GBot frequented sites... that's it.

    Same here. I have a site I plan to take online soon, so I placed a sinple text link on my PR5 site that gets spidered every day hoping it's be ready in a coupld of weeks.. the next day Google has it casched and indexed. Hope I can get it ready before it gets any real rankings :)

    What are the chances that you are an AdSense subscriber? The sites that I have seen get indexed that rapidly have almost always contained AdSense. It is a good idea to place it on your site, even if it is not permanently to get the spiders tracking through your site.

    Adsense uses a different spider! This does not help with the Google.com index.

    I think the adsense bot is called mediapartners or something like that.

    What I have noticed is the two follow each other. If I get a hit from mediabot then it will be followed shortly thereafter by gbot. This may just be something happening to me, but it has been on about 4 new sites in a row. Coincidence?

    When the adsense bot comes to your site does it show up as mediabot, another name, or unknown?

    Link popularity plays almost NO ROLE in SERPs
    So --While you are waiting for that new site to get good keyword SERPs on Google

    You can get some traffic immediately from MSN - and also unlike Yahoo they do not take a long time to initially list your site
