The peak has passed but I am still getting around 10-15 signups an hour from it.

Had to get one more in before the end of the day.

So the results are in Cool Site of the Day sent me around 2200 uniques and 270 new users refered by them signed up.

I sold 1 text link on public.sitejot.com from someone who found my site through them. Also one other link back where the website owner wrote a nice review of my site (It probably gained me backlinks, only one person e-mailed me to inform me of the link).

This was the first day in a long time less then 50% of my visitors used FireFox. Hopefully I reached my target of a few new users who aren’t too techy and start some more word of mouth advertising. I guess the real test will be over the next few days to see how many users come back and if there is a continued increase in signups.

My final rating was 7.669. I am really thankful for anyone who voted for me, this rating puts me in the top 5-10 for the year I think, maybe even qualify for a site of the year nomination (I have no idea how that works though?).

All in all the best $30.00 I have spent on promoting my site, highly recommended.

I found I got a more traffic from the archive page (still cool) than on the day, so you still have a bit to look forward to You might have a fight with a few other DP members for CSOTY though

Haha I know there will be some good competition for CSOTY, turns up im ranked 11th for the year, so I doubt I'll even qualify. I am still getting decent traffic and signups today.
