I run the site Website Value Calculator (http://www.websitevaluecalculator.com). Essentially the site takes a given URL, and produces a dollar value amount that the site is worth, based on various traffic statistics which are available. Currently, I'm seeing about 40,000 pageviews per day, with peak days receiving 80,000 pageviews daily. As the site has only been online for about two weeks, I'm not sure of the exact monthly income achievable through the site. I am going to put it up for sale on Sitepoint shortly, and wanted to ask for advice before doing so.. are there any tips or suggestions anyone would give for getting the best price for the site? Thanks!
I'd honestly wait a couple of months so you have an established income figure to give to potential buyers. If you sold it now it'd likely sell for a whole lot less than it would if you waited, purely based on the fact that there is no proof of sustainable income. You'd also need to factor in the origin of the traffic and provide relevant proof -- to have 40,000-80,000 legitimate pageviews within the space of two weeks would raise some alarm bells. All the best, Liam
