Ive used both methods to verify, i added the meta tag and also uploaded the file. I can tell myself that they are both there, but google cant find it. Also the site was verified before but suddenly its unverified. I dont think my site has been banned because it still shows up in serps any ideas what i can do?
hi, probably your host had ftp issues. check it with them! i had that 1 month ago but was fixed in 2 days.
Try disabling url rewrite mode (or temporary rename .htaccess), get verified, then enable url rewrite again. Worked for me.
We also had the same issue. but after few days all got well so I think maybe server could be the issue.
You may want to try contacting Google through adsense. They answer emails pretty quick when I write them.
this is a general issue! some of my sites which are already verified are now not-verified. but then when i click on the "verify now" it quickly verifies. Am facing this from the last 2-3 months, and those sites of mine are not directories!
any chance you are using a CMS? (e.g. Joomla?), if yes then I had the same problem, need to add the meta to the template. My joomla site became unverified once I changed templates. I also could not use the file method due to server restrictions.
