As far as I'm aware google specifies that you are not allowed to alter any of the code they provide you.

Changing the 'input' and 'form' styles in your css style sheet is not altering the code they provided you.

    I'd check this though.

Through what I've tested so far using the google logo with the code as is, gets the most click throughs. More than the new google button option without the logo. People like using google search.

I haven't enough knowledge about that but my idea is that changing the style isn't the altering of code.Altering of code mean abusing of Google Code. But i just want to match with my site so there would be no abuse ..

No, that's forbidden as far as I know. Read about this idea in another thread here, so you could try the search to find more about it.

Google is quite strict about changing its code, if CSS formatting could be done without touching google code, then it would be ok.

I think class must be attached to input text and input submit to style the Google Search Box.
So i am not clear whether it is changing of code or not ....

I wouldn't be so sure. The default value of the search box can be inserted via JS for example. No code alteration either.

i have looked into this directly with google.

Bliss using JS to insert keyword(s) is against the adsense TOS! I've posted my response from google in other threads... here it is:

Please be aware, however, that modification of the AdSense for search code
is a violation of the AdSense program policies. Publishers may not:

    - Pre-populate the AdSense for search box
    - Create links to Google AdSense for search results
    - Frame Google AdSense for search results

Yes, I was saying just that. It's not OK to meddle with the search box, neither by CSS nor JS, although technically neither represents "Google code alteration".

If you value your adsense account, it's best not to take the chance.

Google has replied very strictly that its not allowed.
Mean publisher can not add/attach any class with input submit or input text.
